The XIV edition of Cartoomics just finished, and it's time for reports.
This edition was completely renewed compared to the previous ones, and had many interesting news.
A very spacious exibitors' area, graphical exibitions, the presence of famous draftsmen, special guests and events were the frame of three terrific days, animated by many activities, happiness and fun.
The area "Cosplay city" was entirely new, and aims to be THE point of referene for all Cosplayers.
Unfortunately, many curious visitors came from the nearby Beer exibition, and kept an icy and detached attitude during the whole Cosplay show.
On saturday and sunday the special guests that showed up were: the gorgeous cosplayer from Las Vegas, Yaya Han, the dubbers brought by
AMBITION (Emanuela Pacotto, Lorenzo Graziano, Patrizio Prata, Massimo Di Benedetto, Serena Clerici, Renato Novara, Benedetta Ponticelli) who entertained us with amazing live dubbing, the 501th Legion from Star Wars, and, of course, the 400 Cosplayers challenging for the award arranged exclusively for them.
On saturday, the
AMBITION award was won by the beautiful and identical to the original Lady Cerbero and Ivan King from "resident Evil IV", represented by Ada Wong and Leon.
On sunday, the
AMBITION award went to the sweet Gal, represented by V-chan alias Verena.
Besides a few imperfections, and some shortage of organization which can surely be solved by the next edition, we consider cartoomics 2007 passed with flying colours!!!
It was high time that Milan offered an event about cartoons, comics, cosplay and videogames up to the high standard of the city.
